Youth workers from Paris have visited the borough as part of a cultural exchange trip.
The Selby Trust and Haringey Community Organisers are hosting a team of twelve people as part of their European exchange programme with Centers Sociaux in France.
Youth workers from Haringey visited Paris in November 2015 to learn different ways of working. Last weekend Haringey hosted a delegation from Paris looking at youth work in both countries.
The delegation visited a range of locations, including The Selby Centre, Bruce Grove Youth Centre, Bernie Grant Arts Centre, and Broadwater Farm FC.
Moussa Sylla, Haringey community organiser, said: “It has been a fascinating experience sharing our knowledge of each other’s work. The project has allowed us to build bridges across the channel, acknowledging we have similar struggles and the sharing of practices can only make us stronger to find solutions”.
