Bakers had to rise to the challenge of a bake-off testing taste, presentation and originality.
The Great Muswell Hill Bake Off, held on Saturday in Muswell Hill Library in Queens Avenue, called for entrants to bring in home-made biscuits or mince pies for judging.
Councillor Gail Engert, who dished out prizes to each of the winners, said: "This was a lovely festive event in the run up to Christmas and the entries were both very imaginative and delicious.
“Well done to the friends of the library for organising this, to all those who submitted entries and of course the prize winners. Muswell Hill is home to some top bakers."
Prizes were donated by shops in Muswell Hill including Fagins Toys, Muswell Hill Bookshop and Mint Velvet.
