A 44-year-old charged with the murder of a police officer during the 1985 Tottenham riots has been remanded in custody and will stand trial next year.
Nicholas Jacobs, from Hackney, was charged on July 23 with killing PC Keith Blakelock on or before October 6, 1985 at the Broadwater Farm Estate.
He appeared at the Old Bailey on Friday, July 26, for a bail hearing but no application was made and a trial date was set for March 4, 2014.
