The Tottenham Hotspur Supporters’ Trust has thrown its support behind a bid to save one of the town's matchday pubs.
The Antwerp Arms Association has just six days to buy the pub, in Church Street, Tottenham, if it si to save it from the risk of closure.
The group has just under a week to raise approximately £55,000.
Ellie Kershaw, a board member of the supporters' trust, said it was encouraging Spurs fans to buy shares in the pub and help save it from closure.
She said: “It’s an important match-day drinking place for us. A lot of pubs in Tottenham have closed and we don’t want to see another one go.
“It’s got something a bit different about it to other pubs in Tottenham; it’s a lot prettier for one thing.
"It’s the oldest pub in Tottenham and it would be a disaster if it didn’t survive.”
The Antwerp Arms Association is calling for people to buy shares on the website microgenius.
They will be having a pledge party at the Antwerp Arms with free beer and ploughman’s lunch for anyone who has donated money on Sunday, from 12pm.
