Children from St Pauls and All Hallows Primary, Lancasterian Primary and St Francis de Sales School in Tottenham visited a very special house last week.
Legendary illustrator Sir Quentin invited them to The House of Illustration to talk about how Tottenham is developing – and of course his captivating drawings.
Earlier this year some of the children met Sir Quentin and were excited to see his amazing drawings that he used for books so they were excited to spend time with a man who continues to inspire the imaginations of children all around the world.
Sharon Easton, headteacher at St Pauls and All Hallows, said: "Our children had a great time at The House of Illustration. It really made them think about Tottenham."
Abigail Namwanje, who is in Year 6 at St Pauls and All Hallows Primary, enjoyed seeing Sir Quentin's original drawings for Danny Champion of the World. She said, "I am proud to belong to the community of Tottenham and appreciate all the wonderful opportunities we have. Today has made me see how lucky I am.”
All the children had a brilliant time and are looking forward to seeing how Tottenham will develop over the next few years. Their posters captured their ambition and positive feelings about Tottenham.
