Police believe a man and a woman shot in a double shooting were probably innocent bystanders who did not even know each other.
The man, aged 42, died at the scene at 7.05pm. Police believe they know his identity and his next of kin have been informed, but they are awaiting formal identification.
People in the area say the victim was father-of-two Erdogan Guzel, who frequently sat outside the bakery.
A post-mortem yesterday showed he died from a gunshot wound to the chest.
The 51-year-old woman is still in a critical condition in hospital.
Detectives from the Metropolitan Police's Homicide and Major Crime Command are still investigating and appealing for information.
Police have echoed accounts given by witnesses, saying the two victims were probably not the intended targets.
Forensics officers continued to work at the scene yesterday evening, with traffic diverted away from the area.
There have been no arrests.
