Firefighters were called after a minivan got stock in a sinkhole in Tottenham.
London Fire Brigade crews removed the vehicle from the "fairly deep" hole in Manchester Road yesterday (Wednesday) at 9.22am using an onboard electrical winch.
Station Officer Jim McPartland, who was at the scene, said: “Crews arrived to find the minibus with its wheel stuck in a sink hole in the middle of the road.
"The vehicle was stationary at the time when the tarmac collapsed.
"The hole was around 1.5 metres by 1.5 metres wide and was fairly deep, although the actual depth was concealed by debris that had fallen inside the hole."
Only the driver was inside and there were no reports of any injuries.
Nearby roads were closed as firefighters from Islington and Tottenham fire stations made the scene safe by 11.03am.
