Edmonton's local policing team were left in disbelief after a huge knife was found near McDonald's.
The blade was discovered in the alleyway at the rear of the restaurant in Fore Street by officers while carrying out weapon sweeps.
Upper Edmonton Police tweeted: "Oh come on!! Really?!?! I don't know what to say, words fail me!
