A woman has been killed after a tree fell on a car in Haringey.
Emergency services were rushed to Muswell Hill Road near the junction with South Close on Friday, February 18, at 4pm.
Reports were made that a tree had fallen on a car.
The passenger – a woman aged in her 30s - was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police believe they know her identity and her family have been informed.
They will be supported by specialist officers.
The driver – a man aged in his 30s - has been taken to hospital.
His condition is not believed to be life-threatening.
It comes as Storm Eunice brought damage, disruption and potentially record-breaking gusts of wind to the UK and Ireland.
Both of the Met Office’s ultra-rare “red” weather warnings over the impact of extremely strong winds have now elapsed but Eunice’s impact is expected to continue.
