Motorists may find their journeys disrupted due to the temporary closure of a road junction in the centre of Enfield next week for roadworks.
A notice from Enfield Council in this week’s edition of the Enfield and Haringey Independent details the planned closure of Churchbury Lane EN1 at its junction with Silver Street, as and when directed by signs, for three days from Wednesday.
During the closure traffic will be diverted via Churchbury Lane, Parsonage Lane, Silver Street, St Andrews Road, Southbury Road, Willow Lane, Parsonage Lane, Baker Street and vice versa.
Before then vehicles will be prevented from entering or proceeding on Parkside Terrace N18 from its junction with Great Cambridge Road and from turning right for one day on Sunday.
The diversion will be via The Fairway, Firs Lane, Barrowell Green, Green Lanes, Ridge Avenue, Church Street, Great Cambridge Road and vice versa.
An overnight closure of Meridian Way N9, between Lea Valley Road to Conduit Lane in a southbound direction, is due to be in place from 11pm on Tuesday to 6am on Wednesday.
The alternative route will be via Lea Valley Road, Nags Head Road, High Street EN3, Nightingale Road, Montagu Road, Picketts Lock Lane and Meridian Way; or Picketts Lock Lane, Montagu Road, Conduit Lane and Meridian Way.
Further closures on this length of road are also planned in May, September, November and December.
Barber Close N21 is set to be shut from its junction with Wades Hill for five days from April 19.
A 16-week closure of a road next to a hospital is due to start on May 9 for highway improvement works.
Bull Lane N18 provides access to North Middlesex University Hospital and is due to be shut on a phased basis, as and when directed by traffic signs, from its junction with the A406 North Circular Road to the borough boundary with Haringey, and from its junction with Amersham Avenue southwards for approximately 240m.
The diversion for vehicles on Bridport Road and Wilbury Way wanting to the access the North Circular will be via Gloucester Road; for vehicles on Queen Street wanting to access Bridport Way and Wilbury Way it will be via White Hart Lane and Pretoria Road.
