A school is hoping to create a day of "optimism and joyful memories" as it celebrates the Queen's platinum jubilee.
Forty Hill C of E Primary School's ‘Playground Street Party’ on Thursday May 26 will include a red Routemaster London bus from Whitewebbs Transport Museum, music from Enfield’s brass band, a Second World War jeep, a royal catwalk competition, a coin line, an afternoon tea and garden games.
Head teacher Jonquil Izard said: “After the bleakness of the last couple of years, we wanted to create a day of optimism and joyful memories for our children.
“It feels wonderful to be able to open our doors to visitors again and rebuild bonds with the whole community through a shared purpose.”
