A programme of roadworks that will lead to the temporary closure of two roads at various periods until the middle of August is due to start later this month.
A notice from Enfield Council in this week’s edition of the Enfield and Haringey Independent details the closures that are set to affect Goat Lane and Garnault Road EN1.
Goat Lane is set to be shut between Forty Hill and Garnault Road from June 20 for six weeks.
The diversion will be via Forty Hill, St George’s Road, Garnault Road and vice versa.
Garnault Road is due to be temporarily closed between Goat Lane and St Georges Road for eight days from August 1.
The alternative route will be via Goat Lane, Forty Hill and St George’s Road; or St George’s Road, Old Forge Road, Russell Road, Caterhatch Lane, Great Cambridge Road, Hoe Lane and Goat Lane.
A second closure in Garnault Road, this time between St George’s Road and Layard Road, is then due to last for nine days from August 10.
Motorists should use Russell Road, Old Forge Road, St George’s Road and vice versa during this closure.
High Street N14 and The Ridgeway EN2 are due to be affected by temporary overnight closures next week.
The Ridgeway is set to be shut between its junction with Windmill Hill and Drapers Hill from 8pm to 5am for three nights from Monday.
The diversion will be via Windmill Hill, Chase Side, Holtwhites Hill, Lavender Hill, The Ridgeway and vice versa.
High Street is scheduled to be closed between its junction with Meadway and Leigh Hunt Drive between 9pm and 5am for four nights from Wednesday, excluding weekends.
The diversion will be via A1004 High Street, Southgate Circus, A111 The Bourne, A111 Bourne Hill, A105 Green Lanes, A1004 Aldermans Hill, A1004 Cannon Hill and vice versa.
Clive Road EN1 is due to be closed for three days from June 21 from the boundary of No. 23 and 25 to the junction with Southbury Road.
The alternative route will be via Southbury Road, Bertram Road, Lincoln Road, Clive Road and vice versa.
