Drivers in and around Enfield may face some disruption to their journeys due to several temporary closures for roadworks, starting this week.
The extent of the closures, for which the dates are subject to change, is detailed in notices in this week’s edition of the Enfield and Haringey Independent.
Kingsley Road N13 is set to be shut from No. 34 to No. 38, as and when directed by signage, from Thursday for two days.
The diversion will be via Park Avenue, Lightcliffe Road, Hazelwood Lane, New River Crescent and vice versa.
A five-day closure of Bressey Avenue EN1, from outside No. 41 to Linwood Crescent, is set to start on Monday, as and when directed by signage.
This road is a cul-de-sac and the notices states access will be maintained for residents as far as works allow.
Also on Monday, a five-day closure is due to begin between No. 54 and No. 58 Cowper Gardens N14, as and when directed by signs.
Warwick Road N11 is due to be closed between its junctions with A406 and Lancaster Road from June 29 for three days.
The diversions are via Highworth Road and Shrewsbury Road; A406, Powys Lane, Broomfield Lane, Powys Lane, Brownlow Road and York Road; or York Road, Brownlow Road and A406.
A much longer lasting closure is also set to start on June 29 in Sandhurst Road N9 from its junction with Chesterfield Road to Charlton Road, as and when indicated by signs.
This is due to last for 45 days and the diversion will be via Charlton Road.
Uplands Park Road EN2 is set to be shut between its junctions with Chase Ridings and The Grove, as and when directed by signage, from July 4 for 12 days.
The diversion will be via Chase Ridings, Slades Hill, The Ridgeway and vice versa.
Also on July 4, a phased closure of Eversley Crescent N21 approximately 25m from its junction with Wades Hill is due to begin, as and when directed by signs.
This is set to last for five days and the closure will then be in place again on July 25 for another five days.
The alternative route will be via Green Dragon Lane, Eversley Crescent is access only.
