Hundreds of families flocked to Palace Gardens shopping centre to watch circus performances.
The circus included Albert the elephant, a sculpture that delighted children as he walked around Eastgate with his ringmaster.
It was part of a circus fun day last Thursday (August 11), which took place between 11am and 3pm.
Ian Marchant, also known as the Gentleman Juggler, wowed crowds with his silent comedy juggling show.
There were also aerialists with their highrise hoops and contortionist sets, while Olga the stilt-walking strong woman and her friend Cindy made shoppers laugh.
Children were able to conjure up their own creations at a free craft workshop while enjoying the live acts at the shopping centre.
