The first 100 customers of a new Asian restaurant bar will enjoy a free treat.
itsu is opening a hot food restaurant in the High Road, Wood Green, this Friday (May 26) at 11am.
The first 100 people to walk through its doors will be offered a bao bun of their choice - including its first branded chocolate bao bun - at no cost.
Other customers coming in can enjoy half-price food for half an hour from 9.30pm before it closes at 10pm.
Neil Miller, itsu's chief customer officer, said: “We’re looking forward to opening our first shop in the borough of Haringey while introducing local residents to our delicious and healthy new hot food menu.
"Our new opening on Wood Green’s bustling high street will be the perfect stop-off for those looking for a nutritious and affordable meal throughout the summer and beyond.”
New dishes include chicken big’bao, which is a fluffy bao bun stuffed with a blend of finely diced chicken, spring onion, soy sauce and shitake and wood ear mushrooms.
At 380 calories and £3.99, it is a nutritious, hot lunch.
Warm salads, sloppy’rice boxes and gyozas starting from £2.79 are all new additions to the evolving menu.
Among sweeter dishes is the chain's warm chocolate bao’bun.
A spokesperson said: "It’s taken 50 variations by the itsu chefs team to ensure the rich quality chocolate flows molten warm, from inside the fluffy bao."
Alongside kombucha and green tea, refill water flasks are being sold at a discounted price, with a percentage of sales going to the Blue Marine Foundation.
Digital ordering screens have been designed for fast service, customisation of hot dishes and instant access to nutritional and allergen information.
All dishes are available for dine-in, takeaway & delivery.
Students & NHS workers can enjoy 15% off their bill anytime.
The restaurant is open from Friday to Saturday from 11am to 10pm and until 9pm from Sunday to Thursday.
