We've rounded up all of the TfL bus timetable changes in London this weekend.
TfL buses align with the Mayor’s Transport Strategy aiming for 80 per cent of journeys via foot, bike, or public transport by 2041.
There is currently a bus fleet of around 9,300 buses which follow across 675 different routes.
The latest timetable changes are in place to help “match demand, deliver value for money and allow TfL to invest in outer London”.
The following timetable changes which affect London buses will take place on Saturday (February 24):
Route 86 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times.
Route 242 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times. Route 242 will be operated by Stagecoach London from this date.
Route 277 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times.
Route 283 will have a new timetable from this date. On Saturdays the early morning frequency will be increased to every 15 minutes before 8am with minor changes to times during the rest of the day.
Route 322 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with journey times revised to better reflect current traffic levels.
The temporary timetable will be removed from route E2 with the service returning to run every eight minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 10 minutes during the evening and all day on Sundays.
Route N242 will have a new timetable on all nights of the week with minor changes to times. Route N242 will be operated by Stagecoach London from this date.
Route N277 will have a new timetable on all nights of the week with minor changes to times.
Superloop route SL3 will be introduced in south east London from today (Saturday February 24).
Route SL3 will run as an express bus service between Bromley North Station and Thamesmead Town Centre via Bromley Town Centre, Chislehurst, Queen Mary's Hospital, Sidcup, Bexleyheath Town Centre and Abbey Wood.
Route SL3 will run every 12 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturday and every 15 minutes during the evening and all day on Sundays.
Long term diversions
Kingston Cromwell Road bus station is closed until summer 2024.
Route E2 is diverted in both directions due to the closure of Windmill Road underneath the M4 elevated section due to roadworks.
Envoy Avenue in the Hatton Cross area is closed westbound while roadworks take place.
Eastern Road in Romford Town Centre is currently closed to buses travelling south through Romford Town Centre. Routes 5, 103, 165, 174, 175, 193, 248, 252, 294, 365, 498, 499 and N15 will all be diverted.
Charing Cross Road is closed northbound from Duncannon Street to William IV Street until at least Saturday April 13 for gas main works.
Eversholt Street is closed until mid-April 2024 for major gas works.
Ship Hill is currently closed between Maesmaur Road and Borough Road for Thames Water works. This will be in place until at least April 29, 2024.
Due to major roadworks at Manor Circus roundabout in Richmond route 110 is currently diverted towards Hounslow direct via Kew Road between Kew Gardens and Richmond Circus. These works are due to finish sometime in the spring of 2024.
Route 394 is currently on diversion towards Homerton Hospital due to the closure of Wimbourne Street. The diversion will now be in place until summer 2024.
Beech Street in the Barbican area is currently closed westbound due to building works. There is no change to the route towards Finsbury Park. This closure will be in place until November 2024.
Due to road layout changes at Kensal Rise Station by the local borough, route 452 is suspended between Ladbroke Grove, Sainsbury's and Kensal Rise Station until further notice.
Due to the collapse of the carriageway on Station Approach at West Drayton Station buses are unable to serve the bus stops directly outside the northern entrance to West Drayton Station. These arrangements will continue until the works to rectify the issues with the carriageway have been resolved.
Due to roadworks closing bus stops on Capitol Way in Colindale buses on route 292 are currently terminating at bus stop CX, named Carlisle Road, on Edgware Road. Towards Borehamwood buses on route 292 are currently starting at the temporary bus stop on Capitol Way located opposite the car park exit to Asda.
Due to the damage caused by a recent fire, Slough Bus Station is currently closed with bus route 81 unable to serve the Bus Station. Buses are terminating at bus stop H on Wellington Street opposite Tesco and picking up passengers from bus stop PQ outside Lloyds Bank on Slough High Street.
