A young man was taken hospital after being stabbed in a market place.

Emergency services were called to Market Place, in Enfield Town at 2.10am on Saturday (October 5) to reports of a stabbing.

The Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service attended.

A man in his 20s was found with stab wounds, Scotland Yard said.

He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital.

The Met said his condition was assessed as serious, but not life-threatening.

There have been no arrests and enquiries continue.
