A 56-year-old man has been charged with murder after a man was shot dead in Tottenham.
Mahmut Sahindal was charged with murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
Officers were called to reports of a shooting at Waltheof Gardens at 9am on Tuesday (October 15).
Emergency services attended and found a man who had been shot, however, he was pronounced dead shortly after.
The Metropolitan Police says that the victim’s family have been informed of the update and will be supported by specialist officers.
At this moment the victim is yet to be identified, however the force has said he was a man in his 40s.
Sahindal was arrested on the same day and has since been remanded to appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court today (October 17).
Police enquiries into the circumstances remain ongoing.
