Neighbours are being urged to give their views on new permanent traveller pitches.
Haringey Council has reviewed potential locations for six permanent pitches on vacant council land.
Now it is asking people for their views on possible sites at The Roundway in Wood Green; Brookside Green, Tottenham; and Clyde Road, Tottenham, next to an existing traveller site.
Cllr Sarah Williams, deputy leader and cabinet member housing and planning, said: "I’m delighted to be announcing proposals for developing the first new Gypsy, Roma and Traveller sites in the capital for three decades.
"Not only is it a fitting move for our borough, which prides itself on being welcoming and diverse, it also aligns completely with our commitment as a council to providing 3,000 new, affordable and great quality homes for the future.
"This includes specialist housing to meet the needs of all of our communities."
If approved, two combined pitches would be built at The Roundway, where there would be a new 1.8 metre timber fence, green landscaping and shrubbery.
There would also be a gated vehicle site entrance and brick buildings with bathrooms and showers.
Waste bins would be supplied with a parking space for a mobile caravan or motorhome and space for a static caravan provided in each pitch.
Two homes are also proposed at the Brookside Green Site, which will also have a 2.5m wall or rail fencing and three new vehicle entrances, and at Clyde Road where there will be a 2.5m wall and one vehicle entrance from Lawrence Road.
Like all local authorities, Haringey Council is required by law to find sites for the traveller community who have a connection to the borough.
Cllr Williams added: "The Gypsy, Roma and Traveller community are among the most discriminated against groups in the UK and face critical challenges in accessing housing that meets their cultural needs.
"Our proposals aim to address this, and I would encourage people living locally to share their views on the suggested sites."
Individual booklets and survey questionnaires for the three sites have been sent to households surrounding each site and online platforms have been created for each site to provide background and for residents to share their views.
