MARCHERS will pound the pavements of Islington tomorrow as they demand Baby Peter's mother stays locked up in the wake of her appeal for a shorter sentence.
The Abused, Babies and Children (ABC) Foundation, set up following Baby Peter's death in 2007, will meet at Caledonian Road Tube at 11.30am on Saturday before marching to Holloway Prison.
Tracey Connelly, 28, was held at the prison following her arrest and subsequent conviction of causing or allowing her 17-month-old son's death.
The protesters are furious about Connelly's bid to have her five-year sentence reduced.
Organisers said the freedom plea was "offensive to all decent people".
Connelly was transferred to Low Newton jail, in County Durham, but has since been transferred to Styal Women's Prison in Cheshire amid fears for her safety.
