TOTTENHAM MP David Lammy is meeting with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy this morning as the club threatens to quit the borough and move to east London.
Mr Lammy hit out at the club's chairman last week after hearing the Olympic Park Legacy Company (OPLC) had shortlisted Spurs to take over the London 2012 stadium in Stratford.
The club, backed by entertainment giant AEG, is now in a two-horse with rivals West Ham United even though Haringey Council has already approved a planning application to build a new stadium in Northumberland Park.
Losing the club, would be a major blow to Tottenham's economy and would put an end to the development of hundreds of new homes, a hotel and a public square.
