STROUD Green Library is now the proud owner of a rare signed art print from cherished children's author Eric Carle.
Carle, responsible for well-loved story The Very Hungry Caterpillar, signed just five copies of artwork from his book "Slowly, Slowly, Slowly," Said The Sloth which were up for grabs in a national competition.
Residents voted in droves and their support paid off when the library, in Quernmore Road, was revealed as one of the winners from thousands of hopefuls.
Haringey councillor, Dilek Dogus, cabinet member for adults and community services, said: "To have one of only five of these signed prints is great news for Stroud Green Library and the local community. It will have pride of place in the library."
