UNEMPLOYED young people who want an alternative to traditional further education can benefit from a new apprenticeship initiative starting today.
Haringey Adult Learning Services (Hals) is launching a drive to get more 16 to 18-year-olds to consider learning while on the job in fields including business, customer service or IT.
An open day will be held the last Friday of every month at Wood Green Central Library, in High Street, Wood Green, from 10am.
The service also offers a foundation learning programme for young people who need help in English, maths and ICT.
