A ROAD in Tottenham Hale remains closed this morning following a police operation last night in which a man was shot dead.
The A503 Ferry Lane is still shut both ways as police continue to investigate.
A man, whose identity has yet to be revealed, but is said locally to be a father of four, is thought to have been shot dead by armed police office during the incident at around 6.15pm.
It is thought the man was shot by marksmen after he fired at an officer. A Met Police officer was taken to hospital but later discharged.
Police watchdog, the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC), has been called in to independently investigate the shooting.
The IPCC has sent in its own investigation team to the scene. A firearm has been recovered.
