Tottenham Hotspur striker Emmanuel Adebayor will remain at the north London club, for now at least, after West Ham United reportedly pulled out of the race to sign the Togolese striker.
Adebayor has fallen out-of-favour at White Hart Lane and West Ham, who attempted to sign the forward on loan on deadline day in January, have been heavily linked with his signature.
The Daily Telegraph claim the Hammers have decided to pull out of a deal to sign the former Arsenal, Manchester City and Real Madrid forward, with wage demands in excess of £100,000 an issue for the Irons.
The north London side have made no secret of their desire to offload Adebayor, who has been left out in the cold since the departure of Tim Sherwood - the man responsible for bringing Adebayor back into the fold when he took over from Andre Villas-Boas in December 2013.
After a promising start at the Lane, in which he netted 17 goals in 33 Premier League appearances on loan during the 2011/12 season, Adebayor has managed the same number in three seasons since joining permanently.
The stunning emergence of Harry Kane, who found the net on 21 occasions last season has left Adebayor surplus to requirements under Mauricio Pochettino.
